For instance; when a typical woman improves the kitchen, she thinks Italian cookware, French pepper mill and a vase of fresh cut flowers. When a typical man (please note: typical - not every man) takes over, he gets a case of 24, an electric egg beater and a refrigerator with a built-in web-ready computer. Although beer makes an excellent turkey baste (yes, for real), I strongly feel that if a man can’t beat an egg without electricity; he seriously needs to stay out of the kitchen. And don’t get me started on the detrimental ergonomics, unsightliness and general uselessness of a refrigerator/computer combo. In the end, I think Michael’s heart was in the right place, and I think most would agree that any home can benefit from a woman’s touch – even if it is just a massage!

In the past, I’ve included risqué subjects in my articles, like religion and politics, and although there were a few ruffled feathers along the way, I’m sure nothing compared to the responses that the Michael Coren must have received after his “women should be in the home” article appeared in the Sun. I wish I could say that I agree with Michael, after all; like any other entrepreneur, I always appreciate the kind of free publicity a stunt like that can create. But I truly feel our society needs to evolve, even if it means that without women in the home, things can go seriously wrong.
