The History
Brian (guitar) met Alex (drum) when they were working in a fast-food restaurant. Both did not know what each other’s musical strengths until there was a local jamming event. Brian enrolled and so did Anthony (guitar). When Alex was rehearsing for the jam session with other jammers, Anthony stepped in. When jamming, neither had spoken a word beforehand but soon found out that they had a similar musical taste. Brian’s talent also was discovered in this event so the 3 of them began to share their musical influence.
Adit (vocal) soon joined the group right before there was an opportunity to play live music at some local university gathering in 2006. At that time, they only played cover songs and had 2 other members but different perspectives got in the way and as a result, only 4 survived who then became the current members of Inner Waltz. Up until now, the band has stayed loose; they have no restriction as to who is responsible for any technical stuff and that seems to work best for them.
The Music
So basically, the band consists of 4 guys grew up in the 90s and have different musical characters such as rock alternative, indie-pop, pop-rock, blues, ballads, etc. For them, music is nothing but their second nature as well as escapades when daily routine becomes bitter than ever. Thus, each member represents important layers to the sound of their music. Their very first song “Wish” really catalyzes their productivity and from thereon, they knew they had to saviour their creativity.
Armed with various catchy beats, guitar riffs and surrounded by gloomy ambient sound, not to mention inspirational songwriting, they believe that they have produced something that comes from the heart. As such, their tunes are simple, lucid and melodic; yet possess subtle melancholiness in their songs.
Long story short, these are a bunch of guys who are driven by results. Their biggest dream may not be to be the most lavish, glittery superstar like every big name of Rock ‘n roll have. They only see music as a gift and feel fortunate that they can be part of it so all they desire is to continue to create music as well as to entertain the crowd and most importantly, to be proud of their own creation.
