Saara Rod
Written by Daniel Stad

Saara Rod, 26 was born in the Middle East and has grown up with an intense respect and connection with music. A singer and songwriter, she is now residing in British Columbia, where she started out her singing career in Theatre. At the young and impressionable age of 18 she moved to Toronto to gain a broadened perspective on the world and the music industry. She came home with a lot to say about life and the pains and joys of it. With Poetry writing being her next natural progression, she began to explore the power of words and the influence they have on the human spirit. What followed in the years to come was a time of tumultuous growth in her singing and a maturity in her writing.
Although she was always a singer, she is now evolved into a well rounded artist. Her Lyrics are honest and thought provoking. The melodies are simple and beautiful with an addictive flair.
Currently Saara is completing her first Demo. The CD will be available by mid September, and will consist of eight tracks. She is Inspired by such Artist’s as Carly Simon, Jewel, Chantel Kreviazuk, The Dave Matthews Band and Peter Gabriel.
When you listen to the songs, your going on a journey with her, one that is real in it’s simplicity and complexity.
