Bonnie Ip

Bonnie is a Chinese Canadian model with a touch of Malaysian, giving her a unique beauty that very few can offer. Born in Hong Kong, Bonnie moved to Canada at three years old. Left heartbroken by her mother, she was forced into independence which in turn made her a stronger person.
In 2008 she was recruited to be a catwalk model for the University of Waterloo’s CASA Lunar Fest Charity Fashion Show, and next thing she knew, photographers and other groups peaked her interest in modelling. Once she discovered her passion for modelling she started to appreciate who she was more and more. Since that first catwalk, Bonnie has done promotional modeling, print ads, beauty pageants, and has been a dancer in music video’s.
Her favourite model is Daria Werbowy because she is one of the few Canadian models that have showed the world what Canada has to offer when it comes to modelling. She does however envy other models that have the bodies for catwalk modelling and can make the big bucks because she doesn’t fit the mould for a catwalk model.
She was however a contestant in the 2010 Miss Perfect 10 Contest, and when the judges asked me why she wanted the title, this was her response:
“I personally do not believe in perfection (in a person) however, I do believe that no one should go unnoticed for what one might find special about themselves. I do not have any special and outstanding talents that may be better than anyone in the world but I do believe that I can promote confidence in those who don’t believe in themselves for becoming something unique in life. If I can make the first step, you can too.”
Bonnie’s dream job is to be a spokes model that hosts a TV show. “The show will not only show the viewers of the main attractions of all the places around the world but will show them what's good to eat and what's unique to do. Basically, I get paid to travel, eat and explore. This will also show that models don't necessarily have to be associated with anorexia because I eat like a cow and I'm a model!”
When asked about fame, she says that she doesn’t think of fame with Hollywood, she considers fame as being acknowledge and recognized by what you’ve accomplished.
So what kind of man does Bonnie like? ”One who would love and appreciate me for who I am and vice versa. One whom I am physically and naturally attracted to so the relationship will last without concerns. One who can learn to understand me more than anyone else and is a likable and attractive person approved by the social world as well.”
Her interests include cars, driving and of course entertainment, fashion and beauty.
