Meghan Pherrill grew up in Scarborough and Pickering, Ontario in a neighbourhood where friends and family were kept close. She remembers the times where she would dress up, take pictures and so modeling came to her naturally. “I discovered my love for modeling by always being in pictures, getting dressed up, getting compliments from people. I still have so much fun doing this,” Pherrill said.

Pherrill has been modeling on and off for two years and is hoping to expand her horizons not just as a model, but as a consultant or make-up artist. “I have a few childhood dreams. One was to model. The second was to have a family and the third is to own my own business of some sort someday,” Pherrill said. Family is an important goal for Pherrill and children is something that she would definitely like to add to her life for she believes they can lighten up anyone’s day and put a smile on their face.

As far as her modeling career, Pherril would like to practice it more stable and push the bar. “What makes me really different I think is that I can and do take jobs seriously, but I am a lot of fun on and off the set and I try to always get along with everyone,” Pherrill explains. She has also admitted that at times she has felt at competition with other models, but instead of letting it get to her she uses it to push herself to be even better, always striving for more.

It is common for models to be concerned about their weight and Pherrill is no different from the rest. “My weight has always been important to be. I should probably not obsess over it so much. I stay fit by trying to eat healthy like making small changes, such as whole wheat instead of white and I try to work out weekly,” Pherrill said. Her positive outlook on her weight and identifying with how she can approach it in a realistic way should not go unnoticed, especially with the reputation the modeling industry has had in the past. Pherrill brings beauty and a strong sense of self to the table, which is what truly makes her stand out with the Girls of Glam.
