Caitlin Melvin
Written by Niki Stad
Caitlin grew up in the small town of Belleville, Ontario. She absolutely loved her city and believes it is much easier to have your friends closer. A family girl by nature, most of her extended family lived close to her when she was growing up so it was always easy for family to get together.
When we asked how she discovered modeling, she said “I discovered modeling at a football game believe it or not! I was cheerleading for University of Ottawa, and one of Ottawa's top (and most popular) photographers, Gord Weber, I guess scouted me and got in touch with me through a friend. I thought it would be fun to give it a try, after my shoot with Gord, other photographers became interested in me! It was a great way to spend down time, and have the opportunity to dress up, and have your make-up and hair done.”
In the world of modeling Caitlin loves Ardianna Lima. “She has a gorgeous face and my idea of a perfect female body. Come on! She actually has curves! Something you don't see on a model very often.” She said.
When she looks at herself, her most favorite body part is her legs. She believes legs are the most natural part of a woman’s body and most men swoon over long legs. So when it comes to summer, Caitlin is all about short skirts and dresses and her best choice of hair color is BRUNETTE.
One thing that makes her different from other models she says is “I tend to be a little more reserved from other glamour models. I won't do nudes or implied nudes. I totally respect the girls that are brave enough to do it! But for me, my body without clothes is not for everyone to see.”
Surprisingly Caitlin with that girly, cute, tight body is a little of a tom boy apparently, because when we asked about her childhood dreams she said “I had this one dream that I would marry Brett The Hit Man Heart because my brother tried to get me interested in the WWF. My brother made me out to be a bit of tom boy when I was young. So it wouldn't surprise too many people that I actually wanted to be in the army. My Dad tried really hard to convince me to join the Navy. And I honestly almost did. I did all the crazy confidence courses - crawling under barbed wire, and through sewer pipes. I was 85% tom boy and 15% girly girl. I still wanted to be a Disney princess, and marry my prince charming. Eventually, my mind changed so much that I decided I just wanted to go to school and see where that took me.”
She has been a competitive cheerleader for the last 9 years and that hasn’t given her much room for having hobbies but she like reading and working out!
